Last week, in celebration of St. Patrick's day and Mercyhurst's rich Irish heritage (our founders, the Sisters of Mercy are from Ireland!), the Student Alumni Association held an event called "Patty Cakes."
We woke up very early to set up outside of Zurn Hall, which is basically the complete center of our campus. We made GREEN PANCAKES and passed them out for free as students walked passed on their way to class.
We wanted not only to get the Student Alumni Association name out to the campus but also to hopefully recruit some new members.
The event was a great hit and a lot of students really enjoyed stopping by to grab some breakfast. The juice and green pancakes were a great hit and we already have more people interested in joining the club!
