This just in:
I am extremely organized. With that being said I love love love to use my planner! The title of this post is because I just wrote the academic calendar into my new planner for my senior year. As I was writing "Graduation Day" in, it has not hit me that in less than a year I will be graduating from the 'Hurst....I wonder what I will think on that day! Surely by then it will seem extremely real!
Next up is a post about summer orientation!
For now - you too can mark your calendars: Sunday, May 20, 2012 Mercyhurst College Commencement!
Welcome to my blog - Read all about my many adventures as a graduate student in the Organizational Leadership program, a graduate assistant for the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving and most importantly a Mercyhurst University alum!

How I'm Spending My Summer
My LAST summer working at Mercyhurst has officially begun. I have been working at the 'Hurst every summer since my freshman year, thus making this my third year.
I am working in both the Admissions department and the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership Development. I am already loving both jobs and I think this is a great way to spend my senior year summer!
Here's the run down on both jobs:
Admissions department: This is my third summer working here! I am finally the oldest student in the office which is pretty cool too, because my very first summer here I was referred to as the "baby!"
While working in Admissions I get to do one of my favorite things which is to show off the school that I love so much by giving tours. I still need to get used to saying "Hello, my name is Lindsay, I am a SENIOR."
I love the staff that I work with as well as the other students that I work with. Rhona, Kaleigh and Nick all worked here last year and we have one new worker- Jeremy. We made him give the first tour as a new-kid initiation!
For those of you looking to have a tour of Mercyhurst, feel free to schedule a tour by calling the office at 814-824-2202.
Center for Student Engagement and Leadership Development: I am the Student Chair for Summer Orientation and Welcome Week and I love this position. I feel as if my two jobs really work together because I give tours, which bring students to Mercyhurst and then as the student chair, I get to see the students that I gave tours to because they made the right decision to come to Mercyhurst!
I am working with the assistant chair, Richard and another student, Isaac as well as the staff from the department and we always have a great time. We are currently preparing for our first summer orientation which is this Friday - we are very excited to see all of the freshmen!
I bring my camera with me to work every day because I want to catch every memory of my last summer here!
Until next time- Carpe Diem!
