First Term of Organizational Leadership Classes

Thus far I have thoroughly enjoyed my classes! As I will be completing my master's degree in a two-year time span, I take two classes per term (due to the Mercyhurst tri-mester system, will be changing a bit next academic year) while working my 30 hours a week for my graduate assistantship.

One class that I am taking is for my concentration in the OL program which is Higher Education Administration. The course is taught by Merry Bollheimer J.D. and is called Higher Education Law. This is the first time the class is being offered and I am super excited about it - the material is so interesting! We have learned about so many different areas of colleges and universities (such as admissions, residence life, academic support, etc.) and how to deal with different legal issues that could arise. One of my projects for this class is to research a specific law...I was assigned FERPA and I am currently preparing materials to create a mock training tool to teach faculty the rules of FERPA. I really enjoy this class as well as Attorney Bollheimer as a professor - she is so knowledgable about the class material and is very engaging and interesting in her teaching style. I will definitely take more classes with her in the future if possible!
Completing the Marshmallow Challenge

My other class is Leadership Theory and Practice, taught by Anne Zaphiris, Ph.D. who I have had for classes during my undergraduate time as she previously taught for the communication department. I am thrilled that she now teaches full time for the Organization Leadership department - she has been one of my favorite teachers at Mercyhurst, she is one of the most dedicated teachers I know, and she sincerely cares for her students and their academic success!

Our Marshmallow Challenge tower!
Recently in this class, Dr. Zaphiris split my class of 6 students up into two groups of three and presented "The Marshmallow Challenge" to us. We had the task of creating the tallest structure that actually stood...using 20 pieces of spaghetti noodles, a yard of tape, a yard of string and a marshmallow which had to but placed at the top. Within this assignment were hidden tests of leadership and teamwork!! My group actually got along during the task, we had a goal and a plan and we worked really well together. Our tower turned out awesome at 22 inches but lost to our opponent's tower (we're pretty sure they were copying ours hehe) which stood at 24 inches!

The best part of this is this assignment once we discussed all of the leadership components to it, we found out that our towers were taller than the average MBA students' towers ... wink wink to anyone unsure of Organizational Leadership or an MBA program, I think our tower sizes are sending you a good message here!

Homecoming and Parents Weekend at the 'Hurst

Now that things have settled down a bit here in the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, we can all take a bit a of breather! This year's Homecoming theme was Celebrate! And we certainly have a lot to celebrate about here at Mercyhurst University!

It was really exciting to see so many of my friends returning to campus (of course some of them never left) and it feels like everyone just picked up right where we left off!

Liz and Alexa, my college roommates!
What might be even cooler to witness would be older classes reconvening and seeing old friends that they haven't seen in awhile. For me, being such a new member of the MU alumni family, it's only been since May that I haven't seen my classmates but for older alumni, coming back to the 'Hurst is always really exciting because as life takes us all of the world, sometimes more time than May to September goes by without seeing each other, making things like Homecoming Weekend so incredibly special.

Shane and I about to crown the king and queen!
In Mercyhurst tradition, the Homecoming king and queen from the previous year get to crown the new king and queen. My friend Shane and I returned to the court's tent on Tullio Field to hang out with this year's court as they anxiously awaited the crowning ceremony.  Several of my good friends were on court so it was so tough to wait but I knew I would be crowning a wonderful queen no matter what. My old roommate, Kaleigh was crowned queen along with Adam as the king!

As the theme of Homecoming suggested, we all celebrated this fun weekend - a time to celebrate college memories, old college friends, a Laker victory against Slippery Rock, and Mercyhurst becoming a University as many alumni returned for the first time to their alma mater with the new and improved University label attached to it! Here's to many more celebrations and excitement on the hill!

This year's court - congratulations to them and best wishes on a wonderful senior year!

Back for More - Life as a Graduate Student

Receiving my diploma from Dr. Gamble
A whirlwind of emotions were felt last May as I (partially) said goodbye to my undergraduate experiences, friends and memories. Graduation was filled with tears, laughter and excitement as my classmates and I prepared to walk across the stage to receive our diplomas as the FIRST graduating class of Mercyhurst University – how awesome is that!
I ended my time as an undergraduate student by graduating Magna cum Laude and receiving one of my university’s highest graduation awards, the Frank Barry Leadership Award, given to a graduating senior who has exemplified superior student leadership and campus involvement during his/her time at Mercyhurst University. I was honored to receive this award and very proud of myself for my accomplishments.
My family – the biggest and loudest cheering section ever – was there to spend the day with me. My four years at Mercyhurst were surely filled with friends, laughter, hard work, sleepless nights filled with homework and club work but most importantly, the very best of times!

So…just when you thought it was the end…think again.

I’m back for more!

After being accepted to Mercyhurst University into the Organizational Leadership program and finding out that there was a new concentration in Higher Education Administration, I was nearly sold on staying for another two years.

Tom and I at the opening of the CAE!
What made things even better was that after receiving my acceptance, I was able to apply for a graduate assistantship to help offset the costs of tuition as well as give me a chance to work at Mercyhurst which seemed perfect as I hope to work in higher education when I am finished with school. I was fortunate to be offered a position with the Advancement/Alumni Relations and Annual Giving departments.

My desk in my very own office!!
My graduate assistantship has me busy working 25-30 hours a week on top of taking two classes each trimester. One of my main duties will be to oversee the phonathon which is when some of our current students call alumni in fundraising efforts. I also get to help with a lot of fun events put on by the Alumni department such as the opening of our new Academic Center for Engagement and Homecoming which is just one week away!

Stay tuned for more adventures of this brand new “graduate girl” and my (second) time at Mercyhurst University!

Presenting Communication Research in Boston

This past weekend my fellow researchers and I presented our research for the second time at the annual Eastern Communication Association Conference. This year it was held in Cambridge Massachusetts...a very long nine hour ride from Mercyhurst University but it was well worth it! Alicia, Kelly and I were joined by two other groups of communication researchers, the nine of us represented Mercyhurst University in a great way, we were all very fortunate to have been accepted to the conference and it was great experience to have.
This is one example of the ways that Mercyhurst students excel in and out of the classroom. It is one thing to have our own professors tell us that we're good at what we do but it's always a great feeling when people outside of the gates tell us too!

We left Mercyhurst on Thursday and returned on Sunday...in between those days we presented our research at a poster session in which communication scholars from several graduate programs from the East coast walked around and asked us questions about our research, all of them were very impressed by our hard work- can you believe we have been researching Muslims and America for nearly TWO YEARS?!
After we presented we had some free time to explore the city, I had never been to Boston so I was super excited to see everything. While I was there I even had a chance to visit my friend Kacie who was a fashion merchandising major here at MU and she now lives in the Boston area, using her degree as she works for T.J. Maxx! I think my favorite part of the weekend was visiting the Cheers bar, the bar that the famous sitcom is based off of - so so cool!

So the moral of the weekend's story is - our education is leading us in so many directions and opening up many doors of opportunity. It was fun to get off campus for a weekend but SO good to return home to Mercyhurst. I hate to say it but there are only two weeks left...bring on the graduation excitement and celebrations...and tears!

The End is Near...30 More Days of Fun!

The end is certainly near and this is becoming more and more prevalent as fun activities take place to round out the end of the year! My roommates and I have not let the "one month until graduation" mark get us down, we have simply declared that instead of only having 30 more days together, we have 30 more days to have fun!!

Communication Senior Showcase
The Communication department, a subset of the Walker School of Business and Communication, has dedicated the hallway to senior majors and minors who have spent a lot of time working vigorously writing, researching, working on projects, working for LakerTV and writing for the school newspaper, the Merciad.
Biographies of the seniors!
The "Senior Showcase" displays each senior prominently and it was so nice to be included even though I am only a minor in the department.
I have always felt at home in the communication department, the professors are all experienced and have a lot of knowledge of the field. If I had another four years, communication would definitely be an area that I would have liked to have pursued further!

Wearing our graduation cords!
Another fun event that I went to was the induction ceremony for Mercyhurst's Leadership Certification Program. The program is a three level process that I was not involved in this year because I started the program as a freshman and completed it last year.
It was a great group to be in because I was able to grow confident in my leadership abilities as well as learn more about how to be a good and successful leader. After completing two levels of the program, students are accepted into Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success. This year, I was invited back and I received cords to wear at graduation since I am a member of the society!
Danielle, my freshman roaster!

My friends and I ended the week with the Ambassador Club's annual "Senior Roast." Although it might sound mean, it was a lot of fun. Basically, the newest members of the club pick a senior, find out really embarrassing things about them and "roast" them! It was really fun to hear all the stories about my fellow Ambassadors! I can remember being a freshman as I roasted a senior...my own roast seemed so far away, but it was plenty of time to do really embarrassing things but I had SO much fun doing them and spent my time with some of the greatest people- what more could a girl ask for?!

Picture of the Week- Summer is Coming!

It's the picture of the week! Sara's, a local favorite just recently opened for the season! This is surely a sign that summer is JUST around the corner! My boyfriend and I stopped by for dinner and of course ice cream at the 1950's-style diner. It is located right on Presque Isle, about a 15 minute drive from the Mercyhurst University campus! Pretty soon it will be summer, I cannot wait to go to the beach and for that warm summer weather!

The Next Step - Admission to Graduate School

With my acceptance letter!
While graduation is quickly ... when I say quickly, I really mean O MY GOSH IT'S APRIL AND I GRADUATE NEXT MONTH WHERE DID TIME GO?!!
Wow. Back to where I was...while graduation is quickly approaching, I of course have been thinking about and planning the next steps. Just today, I received in the mail, (similar to Rory Gilmore, the star character of the television show Gilmore Girls) the BIG package from Mercyhurst University. Yes, the big package means acceptance!!

I was super excited to receive the news of my acceptance in the mail, my mom was sitting with me saying "open it, open it!" The letter reads:
"Congratulations!
You have been accepted into the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program at Mercyhurst University for fall term 2012."

My acceptance letter
I am VERY happy, excited and proud to say that I will be extending my time as a Mercyhurst University Laker next fall by entering into the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program and pursuing my dream of working in higher education. I have loved every moment of my undergraduate experience and I am so lucky that there is a perfect master's program that suits me. I am thrilled to be staying for another two years. I have received a very strong foundation in my undergraduate program in the Walker School of Business at Mercyhurst University and I look forward to everything that lies ahead as I begin my graduate studies next fall!

Now...back to the reality that graduation is only about 6 weeks away! Cue the Pomp and Circumstance!

Picture of the Week - More Mercy Month!

Here's the picture of the week! Some members of the Student Alumni Association (SAA) took a tour and visited the Mercy Motherhouse this week! We all enjoyed our time there and visiting with Sister Pat and Sister Domenica!

Mercy Month

In the world of Mercyhurst, March is "Mercy Month"- wow that's a lot of "m's!" Mercy month is a month dedicated to celebrating the Mercy heritage alive on the Mercyhurst campus and in the community!
Mercyhurst University is celebrating Mercy Month in several different ways! A few weeks ago there was a labyrinth in which students and members of the Mercyhurst community could walk through, take time to silently reflect and leave a special intention once you reached the center of it! I walked through it on a really busy day and it was so helpful to take some time out to silently pray!

Some exciting things that I as a student have taken part in thus far include the Student Alumni Association's annual "Green Pancakes Day." We hold this on the day before Saint Patrick's Day and we make green pancakes for all of the students walking to class. This was not in conjunction with Mercy Month but I think it fit in quite nicely. A component of mercy is certainly that of being hospitable which is what students found as they walked to their morning class and had fresh pancakes waiting for them!

Just yesterday, some of the Ambassadors took part in tour and tea at the Mercy Motherhouse. I really enjoyed this because we not only were able to take a tour of the Motherhouse, we also were able to take a look at some pictures and hear stories about the history of Mercyhurst and the Sisters of Mercy. I absolutely love hearing about Catherine McAuley and the hard work put in by all of the sisters to bring Mercyhurst to where we are today! After the tour the students were invited into the sitting room for cookies and punch and a chance to chat with Sister Pat, Sister Lisa Mary and Sister Domenica. This was a lovely addition to Mercy Month and a great opportunity for the students to walk up the hill for a special visit!

Ambassador Club Spring Tea- Graduation Time!

My induction in 2009- don't we look so young?!
It seems like just yesterday I was being inducted into the Ambassador Club. I am very proud that I was accepted into the organization my freshman year and so happy that I took chances to run for positions even though I was certainly nervous to put myself out there! As a junior I was the secretary of the club and then I became the president during my senior year.
This past Sunday was our annual Spring Tea ceremony which is where we induct the newest Ambassadors and say goodbye to the seniors (cue the tears and violins as I could barely keep it together during the ceremony). Each year the president delivers a speech as the closing to the ceremony. Check out my speech and some pictures from the event:

All of my roommates are Ambassadors too!
"I would like to thank all of you for being here with us today as we celebrate the achievements of our graduating seniors and welcome the newest Ambassadors into one of the most prestigious organizations at Mercyhurst University!
I would like to commend all of the new Ambassadors for their hard work and dedication on their journey to becoming an Ambassador.
The Ambassador Club is truly a unique and special organization here at Mercyhurst. When all of the Ambassadors showed an original interest in the club, they probably attended our annual Experiential Learning Fair which is typically when students sign up to join clubs. When students sign up to join clubs, club leaders will email the students and they can begin attending meetings. What is a little bit different about the Ambassador Club is that while students are automatically able to join most clubs, anyone who is interested in the Ambassador Club must prove that they are Ambassador material for 20 weeks! Therefore, unlike most clubs that students can automatically join, a certain level of hard work and determination is needed to become an Ambassador!

For me, the Ambassador Club has been an organization that has not only taught me many skills useful in academics and professional experiences, it is also a group in which I have met some of my very best friends, all 5 of my current roommates and grown to know many aspects of the school that we all love so very much! To our newest Ambassadors, I hope that the club that I have loved so much for the past four years proves to be just as great for you as it has been for me and many of my fellow seniors!
All of the Ambassadors!

At this time I would like to on behalf of the club express our appreciation for our advisor  Char Lichtinger, the Admissions Department, specifically Chris Coons and Deb Wurst. We all appreciate your constant guidance and dedication to the club and to all of the Ambassadors! I would also like to thank the sisters of Mercy, the administration and our parents, families and friends for being here today to celebrate with us!"
Here I am after the reception with some of my family. They told me to get involved when I was a freshman, they encouraged me to run for secretary when I was a sophomore and they told me not to be afraid to run for president when I was a junior. I am such a lucky girl to always have them supporting me in everything I do. I am known as the girl with the cheering section...at pretty much everything! Thanks for always being there, I love you all!

Picture of the Week - Academic Engagement Center

Our latest addition on campus is our newest building that is under construction, the Academic Engagement Center. It is going to fully complete in August and I am very excited to see it! What I like best about the building is that not only will it be a great addition to campus and awesome for anyone who has class in it, but it has a bridge that connects it to the Hammermill Library! It's perfect for Erie winters because we won't even have to go outside to get to the library!

This was chosen as the picture of the week because if you take a close look, the construction workers are Mercyhurst University fans just like us! "Go Lakers" is displayed on the unfinished roof and it faces 38th street for all of Erie to see!

As always, Go Lakers and carpe diem!

Spring Term- My How Time Flies!

Wow spring break went by SO quickly! I guess that just reaffirms the statement that seems to be running my senior year- "time flies when you're having fun."

Spring term, also known as my final term as an undergraduate student at Mercyhurst University begins today. As I was walking on campus today, my first day back after a week and a half, I could not help but think about how my attitudes of spring terms past were at this point.
My spring term freshman year, I felt like I was on top of the world! The weather was AWESOME that year and all we wanted to do was go outside! As a freshman I had 8:00am classes in my first two terms and spring term was my first chance to sleep in (I didn't have class until 11am)!  I will always remember spring term freshman year as the warmest, most easy going time of college. It seems as if graduating was years away...mostly because at that time it really was!

Spring term sophomore year was an awesome one as well! Off to the left you can see my friends and I on a campus trip to Washington D.C. Spring term sophomore year was also the year that "endings" really became apparent to me. Some of my really good friends and wonderful role models graduated that year. The year before I didn't know many seniors but this year was really hard to say goodbye. That was when I really began to realize that in the blink of an eye college will be gone!

Last year, my junior year spring term was filled with fun and laughter! I didn't have classes on fridays that term (but I did have some difficult classes) yet everything was super busy that term! I was officially inducted as the president of the Ambassador Club and I was anxiously awaiting the end of the term so that I could finally be the "big dog" on campus...a SENIOR! Even last year, this present time seemed like it would never come, I can't believe how quickly time has gone by!

Now that spring term of senior year is finally here, I hope to combine a little bit of all my spring term's past together to create the ultimate senior year! I hope to bring the carefree spirit of a freshman, the good friends of a sophomore and the fun and laughter of a junior! As I embark on my last term here at Mercyhurst University, I look back at the fun that I have had and smile at the memories that I have of my time here.
Here's to another great term at the 'Hurst- it's sure to be a great one!!!

Mercyhurst University's Annual SENIOR WEEK!

Last week marked a very important week for the senior class of 2012...also known as the first graduating class of Mercyhurst University! The Senior Class Gift Committee held its annual "Senior Week" which is a week long string events that leads up to the final day which is 100 Days Until Graduation! While some celebrate this day, many fear this as our time at Mercyhurst University is abruptly coming to an end (insert tears).

The week started out with a kickoff party in our Student Union. We had over 200 students attend! We offered pizza and some mock tails while the students picked up a t-shirt. All senior class members who made a gift to the senior class gift fund were given a t-shirt that could be worn all throughout senior week!

Tuesday night was spent at a local bowling alley, Eastland Lanes. The kindly reserved all 20 lanes for our senior class to bowl in private for just $2 per game!

On Wednesday night we held a pizza tasting event where several local pizzerias donated pizzas for our students to sample. We got to vote on our favorite pizza and our very own Parkhurst Dining Services (our cafeteria food service provider) won!! The had tough competition with other local places such as Teresa's Deli, Patti's Pizza, Jimmy Z's Time Out Tavern, Alfee's and some chain restaurants such as Hungry Howies Pizza, Pizza Hut and Parkhurst Dining Services. A BIG thank you goes out to them all for so kindly donating!

Thursday night was one of the most fun because it was our first ever Date Auction! Several seniors were paired up with a date package and gift card to a restaurant in Erie. We raised nearly $700 from our attendance and all of the bids on the dates! We were even able to auction off a dinner with our President, Dr. Gamble, our Vice President of Student Life, Dr. Tobin and spots for six students! My friend Jeremy won this by bidding the most and he even invited me as one of his 5 guests!

Friday marked the end of the week but it was one of the saddest nights because it was officially 100 days left until graduation. My friends and I tried to look at it not as if there are only 100 days left but rather 100 more days to celebrate and make the most of college life!

The first event of Friday night was a dinner party in our main cafeteria. The dinner was free for all seniors and was closed to the senior class only! We ate a delicious pasta buffet and had a special cake to help us celebrate reaching 100 days!

Following the dinner, all seniors were invited to a party at the Cornerstone Bar and Grill which is right next to our campus and is a popular hangout for the older crowd! We were able to hang out with friends, grab some food and dance to the music provided by the DJ that the restaurant purchased as a gift to our class!

While it feels as if I have only been here for 100 days instead of only having 100 days left, I am so thankful for the friends that I have make over the past four years who I celebrated all of Senior Week with! I will always treasure the many memories made and I am so happy to have had such a great Senior Week.

Here's to a GREAT (and hopefully slow moving) last 100 days!

We are...Mercyhurst University

The wait is finally over! Over the past few months Mercyhurst has been patiently awaiting for a few signatures required to end the process of moving to a university.
When I woke up this morning and checked my e-mail, I was greeted with a message from our president, Dr. Gamble inviting us all to the Student Union for an "important announcement." I immediately thought but more specifically, hoped that this announcement would be that we were officially a university!

The bad part- the announcement was taking place at 1:45- right in the middle of my class presentation! What are the odds! I was really upset so I e-mailed my teacher begging her to let our class out to hear the announcement...luckily she said yes! Anyone who really really wanted to go to the announcement was permitted to leave class for it!

The Great Room was crowded with students, faculty, staff and administrators who were thrilled for the suspense-filled announcement!

Check out Dr. Gamble's address to the entire Mercyhurst community!
As many people expected, his announcement was that yesterday, the Department of Education signed off and officially, we are now MERCYHURST UNIVERSITY!

I am beyond thrilled to be a part of what is arguably one of the most important moments in Mercyhurst history. Aside from our birth in 1926 and our move to a co-educational institution in 1969, becoming Mercyhurst University has students, alumni and the entire community very excited!

And...to top it all off, as Dr. Gamble states in his address, this year's senior class (yep, this girl right here!) will be the first graduating class of Mercyhurst University!

Mercyhurst University's new logo!

I hope you are just as excited for this change as we are!
As always, Carpe Diem- Seize the Opportunity!

Sorrows of a Senior: We're Halfway There?

We just recently hit the halfway mark not only for the winter tri-mester but for the academic year (sigh). When facebook statuses started popping up from my fellow fearful seniors that said "only four months left," I can't help but think "where has the time gone?"

Furthermore, the lack of time left in my undergraduate career just reminds me that there are ONLY four months left to live up college life!
Unfortunately, all of this "living it up" comes every now and then since I am incredibly busy with school work and clubs and activities!
I wanted to give a quick run-down of my classes and professors because right now, our students are working on figuring out what classes they would like to take next term- perhaps they will read my blog and hear how much I like my current classes and professors!

I am currently taking Social Ethics with Dr. Verna Ehret who is an assistant professor of Religious Studies. I took a class with her my freshman year and really liked her as a teacher so decided to take ethics with her this year. I think one thing that really stands out about her is that she goes above and beyond to make herself available for students. Our entire class is writing a paper and she made time outside of class to meet with every single one of us to discuss our topics. What I like about the course work is that we are studying ethics but we each were allowed to pick what topic to write a paper on and conduct a presentation and we were able to pick a topic that applies to our major area of study. My paper and presentation are being done on corporate social responsibility. Although this is a religion class, I am still able to pull from the area that I know best, business.

My other two classes are both to fulfill my communication minor. I am taking Professional Development with Mr. Michael Leal who is the chairperson of the communication department. I enjoy this class a lot because we work on resumes, cover letters and most importantly interviews! So far we have done several mock interviews and it has been really helpful to start thinking about what I would say in future interviews!
I am also taking Strategic Communication I with Ms. Meghan Corbin who is the current Director of Marketing and Public Relations here at Mercyhurst. She brings a ton of experience to the class- it is at 8am in the morning but she does an awesome job of keeping everyone awake! We are currently working on a project in which we write a PR plan for Mercyhurst College's transition to university status!

Now that we're halfway done with the school year and the term, there is no time to rest or take a break, everything is in full swing BUT...In the words of Jon Bon Jovi- "we'll make it I swear."

"Great Minds Drink Alike" Beer and Wine Tasting Event

Some of the girls!

This past week the Senior Class Gift Committee held a beer and wine tasting event in the Student Union! Of course, only students who are 21 were permitted in and tickets were only $10! It was a lot of fun and we were very happy with the turnout!

The boys got dressed up!

Mazza Vineyards began the evening by serving four different types of wines- I was never really a big wine person until my trip to Europe which is where I acquired a better appreciation for it!

Then, three breweries had beer samples, they were: Lavery Brewing, Erie Brewing and the Brewerie!

All of these vendors were so great in coming to Mercyhurst to help us out with this event. Hopefully we have started a new tradition for the senior class!

Leaving a Legacy- Mercyhurst College Annual Senior Class Gift

Greetings readers!

This past week marked an exciting time for the senior class! As I've discussed in previous posts, Mercyhurst College seniors, with help and guidance from the Alumni and Annual Giving department form a "Senior Class Gift Steering Committee" to work together to get the seniors to make a monetary gift to a senior gift fund.

The senior class then chooses and plans a gift to gift to the school. This year, my class decided that we wanted our slogan for the committee to be "Living the Dream" and we wanted to choose a gift that would allow all Mercyhurst students to live the dream just as we have for the past four years!

Pledge Card
Our gift is to re-do the great room of our Student Union! It is currently an awesome room with a lot of space that is just not being used to its full potential.

We are working with Mercyhurst Student Government (MSG) to make the room into a lounge and entertainment space where students can hang out, play games and visit with friends!

Seniors can make a gift by filling out one of our pledge cards shown above or visiting the Mercyhurst website!

Funds raised display

Off to the right is our (currently empty, since we just started our fundraising) "funds raised thermometer" that will be on display in the Student Union and at events that we hold.

Our ultimate goal is to raise $16,000 and to have over half of the class contribute to the fund! It will be very exciting to try to reach these goals...and of course a lot of work too!

Beer and wine poster hung around campus!

Another way to raise funds for this gift is through events that we hold! Coming up this week is a beer and wine tasting event for the senior class! We are hoping for a great turnout and we're assuming a lot of people will want to attend! Students can sample locally brewed beers and locally made wine for just $10 or they can choose to sample just beer or just wine for only $6!

Until next time- I hope you are living your dream just like the class of 2012!
